Correlation analysis between expression of ACE2 and survival of colon cancer patients

Objective To investigate the expression of ACE2 in colon cancer patients and to analyze its correlation with the survival of colon cancer patients. Methods The TCGA database was used to analyze the colorectal cancer patients. The bioinformatics analysis was used to elucidate the correlation between the expression of ACE2 and the survival of colon cancer patients. Results ACE2 was highly expressed in colon cancer tissues (t=0.034, P<0.05), and colon cancer patients with low expression of ACE2 had longer survival than these with high expression of ACE2. Conclusion The expression of ACE2 is associated with survival in patients with colon cancer. Key words: Colonic neoplasms; Tumor; Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2); Prognosis
