Characterization of elastomeric polymer networks by transversal NMR relaxation temperature dependence of model parameter

1997
For elastomer networks well above the glass transition temperature T g , the presence of topological constraints and permanent crosslinks leads to a non-zero average of homo- and heteronuclear interaction, which results in a solid-like relaxation behaviour. The shape of the decay of proton transversal magnetization using the Hahn echo pulse sequence is related to the crosslink density. One model widely used for analysis gives the mean molar mass between crosslinks M c and additionally two different correlation times. Here for the first time, the temperature dependence of the parameters used in the model is demonstrated.
