Homogenization of cast carburizing steel

1. A long hold at the carburizing temperature of 930°C improves the structure, decreases the dendritic segregation, and increases the mechanical properties of cast steels. 2. An additional increase in the mechanical properties and improvement in the structure are obtained by preliminary high temperature annealing.
