Low-Cost NDVI Platform for Land Operation: Passive and Active

In this paper a novel low-cost active Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) platform is developed. In a first stage the system was tested and calibrated outdoor in a passive mode. Then vegetation illumination was done using two laser sources with a beam combiner. The active mode was benchmarked using a field spectrometer from ASD. Successful operation of active NDVI system was shown indoor.
