With rise of the global need to effecti­ vely regulate the processing of personal data, the present paper compares the Brazilian General Da­ ta Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The analysis aims to find convergences between Brazilian law and the European Regulation, in order to provide cri­ teria for a future adequacy decision by both sides. lt is therefore pointed out that the text seeks td make a structural radiography of both norms.
