Physiological variation in vascular reactivity of breast tissue over the menstrual cycledemonstrated by optical tomography

Using optical tomography we demonstrate that breast physiology changes over the 28 day menstrual cycle. This can be demonstrated by the vasculature’s compliance and degree of heterogeneity in response to simple manipulations (e.g., Valsalva maneuver).
