STUDY OF THE DYNAMIC QUALITIES OF EMPTY FREIGHT CARS

The paper presents the results of dynamic tests of empty freight cars and unloaded trains on main line sections and on sections of track with artificial irregularities at running speeds up to 130 km/hr. A conclusion is drawn as to the possibility of operating unloaded trains at speeds up to 100 km/hr.
