HUMANE D4.1 Report on implications of future thinking

2016
An important goal in the HUMANE project is to set out the implications for future thinking and policy making in Human‐ Machine Networks (HMN). In this deliverable, we explore relevant characteristics and implications of HMNs in a number of innovative domains that have high potential for bringing fundamental social changes: the sharing economy, eHealth, citizen participation, telework, workplace robotics, and crowd management. We also identify potential challenges and obstacles, as well as possible ways to mitigate these in future ICT R&I projects. Our work is positioned relative to the general EU priorities and relevant strategy plans. We review future opportunities and recommendations for R&I actions
