According to the invention, at least one piezoelectric element (53, 83, 210) out of the piezoceramic layer (51) separated, so that the at least one piezoelectric element (53, 83, 210) has a regular polygonal shape with at least six corners. Further, the method includes forming the piezoelectric membrane transducer (101) by attaching the piezoelectric element (53, 83, 210) on a pump membrane (110).
