Lung patterns: a refresher

Radiography remains the primary imaging modality for assessment of the thorax in first opinion practice. Interpretation of any abnormal lung pattern present is a key part of this assessment, and can often be challenging. This article aims to provide a refresher on identifying the common lung patterns, together with the main differential diagnoses to consider with each.
