An ink cartridge (40, 50) for supplying ink to a printhead (5) of a recording apparatus inkjet to which ink is supplied by a needle ink supply (6, 7), wherein: - has formed a hole ink supply (44, 54), which has entered said needle ink supply (6, 7) in an insertion direction, on one side of a tank forming a chamber ink containment; - a circuit board (31) is mounted on the ink cartridge (40, 50), wherein - said circuit board (31) is arranged on a first side of the cartridge and adjacent to a second face in which is formed said ink supply port (44, 54), - a plane, which extends perpendicular to the first face and includes a central line of said ink supply port (44, 54) extending in the insertion direction , crosses the circuit board (31), and - the circuit board (31) is arranged so that its exposed surface is face to contact forming members (29, 29 '') of the recording apparatus inkjet when the ink cartridge is installed in the printing apparatus; and - have formed multiple electrical contacts (60) on the exposed surface of said circuit board (31), wherein the electrical contacts (60) are arranged to come into contact with the forming elements contact (29, 29 '') of the printing apparatus by inkjet, which are arranged at a fixed pitch, when the ink cartridge is installed in the printing apparatus; wherein said multiple contacts (60) are divided into two groups which are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction of the ink cartridge, and each group is located at different height in the insertion direction.
