Violencia de género en zonas fronterizas: debates teóricos y estudios de caso en contextos globales

This article presents a state-of-the-art review of studies on the experiences of violence faced by women in different global border contexts. We will start by conceptualizing gender violence and its relation to national borders. Then, we review the research carried out between in Europe and North America (focusing in the Mexico-United States border), and in Asia, Africa, and South America. We conclude with an analytical balance on the different geopolitical contexts and the theoretical proposals discussed.
