The Imaging Findings of Pelvic Actinomycosis: A Case Report

A 30-year-old woman, who had had an intrauterine device (IUD) in her uterus for 10 years, had suffered abdominal pain, body weight loss and a pelvic mass noted over the past 2 months. CT scan revealed an ill-defined pelvic mass with multiple organ involvement including small bowel, mensentery, bladder wall and abdominal wall this was initially suspected to be a case of gynecological malignancy. Exploratory laparotomy and tissue pathology proved this to be a case of actinomycosis of pelvis.
