Separation and Purification of Yttrium from Strontium through Barium Sulfate Membrane under Electric Potential

Electrochemical separation of yttrium from strontium is carried out via barium sulfate membrane. Using diffusion-controlled precipitation reaction, barium sulfate membrane is prepared by supporting barium sulfate on polypropylene sheet. The main physical and electrical properties of the membrane are given. The separation of yttrium from strontium through the membrane under electric potential is studied.
