Una alegoría alimenticia del Doctrinal de los cavalleros de Alonso de Cartagena en el Baladro de Burgos

2012
In this paper we examine the narrative frame that encloses the story of El baladro del sabio Merlin con sus profecias ( Juan de Burgos, 1498) from an intertextual perspective, i.e., taking into account that this frame borrows almost literally a food allegory used by Alonso de Cartagena in the prologue to the fourth book of his Doctrinal de los caualleros. The comparative analysis of this allegory inserted in such a different texts will provide us a better understanding of the meaning and merits of the Baladro.
