Recital de seis canciones inéditas que fusionan Albazo, Rock y Jazz

This project consists in the composition and performance of six musical pieces that fuse elements of Albazo, Rock and Jazz written for an electric guitar, bass guitar and drums power trio format. It is based in a dynamic that fuse one or more musical elements of the specified genres in each composition. These harmonic, rhythmic and melodic elements are mainly introduced to the Andean sonority of Albazo. This project has three stages: the first analysis, the second composition and the third performance. The analysis stage, based on a qualitative methodological approach, studies in detail the harmony, melody and rhythm of nine representative pieces of the genres. The Albazo section contains “Mi Guitarra Vieja”, “Avecilla” and “Canelazo”. The Rock section has “Money”, “The Immigrant Song” and “Know Your Enemy”. The section of Jazz harmony analysis contains the standards “So What”, “Giant Steps” and “All the Things You Are”. All the transcriptions analyze harmony function, interval relation of melodies with chords, rhythms, tonalities, sonorities and instrumentation. The second stage contains the score of the six compositions with an explanation of the musical elements used in each one. Finally, the third stage is a live performance of the compositions.
