Development of multi-coils full-bridge resonant inverter for dynamic wireless power transfer

This paper presents a multi-coils full-bridge resonant inverter for a dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT). The key feature of the proposed circuit is to reduce the number of switching devices counts. A control strategy of proposed topology was also discussed. In order to verify the proposed circuit, a simulation and system prototype of the proposed dynamic wireless power transfer system has been built and implemented. Several simulations and experimental results were reported and discussed. The receiving power at different lateral offset between primary coil and secondary coil was also measured. The simulated and experimental results confirmed that the proposed system makes it possible to apply for the dynamic wireless charging applications.
