A process for preparing bead polymers having an average particle size ranging from 1 micron to 40 microns and polymer beads containing molding compositions and moldings

2005
A process for preparing bead polymers having an average particle size ranging from 1 micron to 40 microns, which comprises dispersing a polymerizable composition in the aqueous phase and polymerized to give s produces the stabilized with an aluminum compound dispersion at a shear rate ≧ 10 Here, it employs a polymerizable composition which, in each case based on its total weight, a) more than 50.0 wt .-% of at least one compound of formula (I), wobie residues b) 0.1 wt .-% to 10.0 wt .-% of at least one crosslinking agent and d) less than 49.9 wt .-% of at least one compound of formula (II), where the radicals R, R contains. The polymer beads produced by the process of this invention are particularly suitable for the production of moldings with light-scattering properties.
