Reflexiones sobre el impacto de la selección del tipo de pauta terapéutica en la percepción de Calidad de Vida del paciente

espanolDesde el modelo Bio-psico-social promulgado a finales de los anos 70 por la Organizacion Mundial de la Salud (OMS), la vision de la Salud como una entidad compleja y multidimensional ha favorecido la consideracion de distintas variables, mas alla de los indicadores biomedicos, a la hora de evaluar el beneficio terapeutico de las pautas de tratamiento para el control de la enfermedad, mas todavia cuando el objetivo fundamental, como ocurre en el caso de las patologias cronicas, es el alivio sintomatico mas que el control etiologico de la enfermedad. Desde esta perspectiva, la relacion entre Calidad de Vida (CV), incidencia en distintas areas de la vida del paciente, y la seleccion terapeutica se hace necesaria, en cuanto que la evaluacion del planteamiento terapeutico dependera de la incidencia de este en la CV del paciente, siendo este criterio (el de CV) punto de referencia a la hora de seleccionar los instrumentos terapeuticos que pretenden el control sintomatico o etiologico del paciente, favoreciendo la disminucion en el coste/beneficio de las estructuras sanitarias y aumentando su calidad asistencial. EnglishFrom the Bio-psico-social model promulgated around the end of the years 70 for the World Health Organization (WHO), the vision of the Health as a complex entity and multidimensional it has favored the consideration of different variable, beyond the biomedical indicators, to the hour of evaluating the therapeutic benefit of the treatment standards for the control of the disease, more still when the fundamental objective, as occurs in the case of the chronic pathologies, it is the symptomatic relief more than the control aetiologic of the disease. From this perspective, the relationship between Quality of Life (QOL), incidence in different areas of the life of the patient, and the therapeutic selection is made necessary, in how much that, the evaluation of the therapeutic position will depend on the incidence on this in the QOL of the patient, being this criterion (that of QOL) frame of reference to the hour of selecting the therapeutic instruments that intend the symptomatic control or etiologic of the patient, favoring the decrease in the cost/benefit of the sanitary structures and increasing their assistance quality.
