Colored textiles based on colored m-aramid fibers, processes for their preparation and their use

2015
colored fabrics are described containing on the basis of subsequently dyed with vat dyes m-aramid fibers or m-aramid fiber blends, which are characterized by 1) a light-fastness to DIN EN ISO 105-B02 (at 50 ° C and 144 h exposure) of at least 6, 2) a wash fastness to DIN EN ISO 105-C08 of at least 4, and 3) a fastness to rubbing according to DIN EN ISO 105-X12 dry of at least 4. Further, the invention relates to a process for the production of colored textiles on the basis of by containing with vat dyes subsequently colored m-aramid fibers or m-aramid fiber blends, wherein the textiles are treated for dyeing with vat dyes by a) the vat dyes directly as Kupenpigment containing the fibers of the m-aramid or m-aramid fiber blends be applied or the vat dyes are converted by use of reducing agents in an alkaline medium in the leuco form, which here e rhaltene vat applied to the textile, the vat dye formed by oxidation of the leuco form of the vat dye and then fixing is carried out on the fibers. The resulting colored textiles are used with advantage for the production of garments and exhibit advantageous color fastness.
