Use of water-soluble polymers as superplasticizer for refractory compositions aluminatzementhaltige

1998
The invention relates to the use of a three-constituent, water-soluble polymer comprised of 5-90 wt.% of a constituent a), preferably of maleic acid, fumaric acid or itaconic acid, 5-90 wt.% of a constituent b) essentially comprised of the group 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid, vinyl sulfonic acid, vinyl phosphonic acid, and 5-90 wt.% of the constituent c) comprised of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, acrylamide and methacrylamide. The inventive polymer is used as a flowing medium for refractory materials which contain aluminate cement. The mixed polymer which comprises a preferred molecular weight of Mw < 50000 can also be combined with other quality-improving additives such as silicic acid, lime, or sodium carbonate and with other common additives for refractory materials.
