Semiclassical analysis of. cap alpha. -transfer in /sup 212/Po. [93 MeV: radial wave function, angular distribution]

The heavy-ion reaction /sup 208/Pb(/sup 16/O, /sup 212/Po) is treated as a direct one in which an ..cap alpha..-particle initially bound to a /sup 12/C core is transferred to the ground and first excited state in /sup 212/Po. A semiclassical theory based on DWBA is used to calculate angular distributions. The results are compared with experiment. 2 figures.
