Theoretical lifetimes of Rydberg states of ArH and ArD

The 2 Sigma + Rydberg states of ArH are predissociated while the 2 Pi states decay radiatively. Theoretical values for the radiative lifetimes of several Rydberg states of ArH and of the width of the A2 Sigma + state of ArH and ArD have been obtained. The results are generally in good agreement with experimental data where available, except for the width of the nu =0 level of ArH where the theoretical value differs from the experimental one by about an order of magnitude.
