PROFInet: Wie weit tragen Office Standards für die Automatisierungstechnik?

PROFInet is the Ethernet based automation concept of PI (PROFIBUS International). It combines IT and standard protocols on Ethernet to be used in industrial automation solutions. If standards are not sufficient enough the protocols are enhanced based on the expertise of PROFIBUS. The enhancements are always designed in such a way, that standard communication is not affected.
