The Research Development of the Degradation of Toxic Organic Pollutant by Electro-/Photoelectro-Fenton Method

Electro-/photoelectro-Fenton method are advanced oxidation technologies which can degrade toxic organic pollutant effectively in aqueous solution.In this paper,the developments of the toxic organic pollutant degradation by electro-/photoelectro-Fenton and the degradation mechanism,especially on anodic oxidation,cathode reduction of dioxygen into hydrogen peroxide and electrolytic flocculation were summarized.The progress of electro-/photoelectro-Fenton application and development trends in the field of industrial toxic organic pollutant wastewater treatment were also concluded.
