The reader approaching a text on the subject of sclerotherapy may be forgiven for wondering why it should be necessary to read through a revised account of human venous anatomy. Can the arrangement of the veins of the leg have changed much since the time of Gray, let alone since the last edition of this book? Does evolution happen that quickly?
