A process for evaporating polymer solutions of thermoplastic polymers

The invention relates to a multistep method for evaporating polymer solutions of thermoplastic polymers and for removing volatile constituents from thermoplastic polymers by means of indirect heat exchange. The invention, in particular, relates to a method for evaporating volatile constituents from polymer solutions while using specially shaped tube bundle heat exchangers (4, 7), coiled tube evaporators (17, 21) and a series of in-line evaporators.
