Signs of Cell-Cell Interactions in Sarcoma 45 Tissue Under Conditions of Antitumor Effect Caused by Injection of Magnetite Nanoparticles

Abstract Changes in transplanted sarcoma 45 tissue in outbred albino rats with tumor regression under the effect of magnetite nanoparticles (magnetic fluid) were studied by light and electron microscopy. The ultrastructure and cell death types in regressing tumors and signs of cell-cell interactions with participation of macrophages, lymphocytes, neutrophils, and degranulating mast cells were described. Some possible mechanisms of a pronounced antitumor activity of magnetite nanoparticles were discussed.
