Problematizing the Use of the Bible in the Human Sexuality and Pentecostal Spirituality Debate

2020
This study problematizes the use of the Bible in addressing questions that arise on the subject of human sexuality and Pentecostal spirituality. It exposes the problems of a biblical theology of sexuality and proposes a Christian theology of sexuality. Having differentiated the two theologies, the chapter argues that sexuality is a spiritual matter and that sexuality issues have the potential to tear down churches if not properly handled. Since the Bible does not have a unified theology of sexuality, the study concludes that a Christian theology of sexuality helps address questions to do with human sexuality and Pentecostal spirituality today.
