Ações de Educação Ambiental em um Curso Técnico em Meio Ambiente Integrado ao Ensino Médio

This work presents an experience report of pedagogical practices of critical environmental education, developed with students from the 1st and 2nd years of the Technical Course in Environment Integrated to High School, from a federal educational institution in 2019, with the objective of providing students with knowledge acquisition, skills and attitudes related to local and global environmental issues. Six actions are described which took place as part of the syllabus of the Environmental Education curriculum component, in the 1st year class and the Integrator Project, in the 2nd year class; both with weekly workload of two classes. The themes that generated these actions were: water, solid waste, terrariums, deforestation in the Amazon, relationships with the elderly, recreational activities with children. For each theme, different methods were used, with a broad approach and active participation of students in the process of building knowledge, rescuing their previous knowledge and considering the correlation between theory and practice, autonomy and critical thinking. The results obtained with the different actions were very positive for the students’s training, with a change in values and attitudes, as well as their concern with the causes and consequences of environmental problems, stimulated to contribute individually and collectively to solve them.
