Association between gene polymorphism and bone mineral density

Bone mineral density is related with heritage.Diagnosis of osteoporosis mostly depends on the detection of bone mineral density.Genes involve in bone development and bone metabolism such as vitamin D receptor,COL1,estrogen receptor and ealeitonin receptor,gene polymorphism of which determines bone minemal density.Otherwise.related genes such as Wnt protein and HLA are also related to bone mineral density.This review discusses the correlation between bone density and gene polymorphism.
