Possible existence of a charge-density wave in molybdenum red bronzes K0.33MoO3
1998
Abstract We show that the electrical behaviour of red bronzes K 0.33 MoO 3 is very similar to that of the intensively studied blue bronzes K 0.33 MoO 3 A non-linearity in the current–voltage characteristics appears for electric fields as low as 25 mV/cm; the real part of the dielectric constant ϵ ′ is temperature and frequency dependent, with a low frequency maximum close to 10 7 . An upward curvature in the resistivity ρ versus 1000/ T is found at T =455 K. All of these properties suggest the existence of a charge-density wave (CDW) below T =455 K.
