A study on multiple ovulation and embryo transfer (MOET) technology in Australian Holstein cow.

2010
The multiple ovulation and embryo transfer(MOET) technology was studied in Australian Holstein cows to widen the elite breeding of Australian Holstein core group. The results showed no significant differences in number of total embryos and available embryos of Australian Holstein cow as superovulated in different months. There was also a non significant difference in total embryos of superovulated Australian Holstein cow at different physiological stages, but available embryos of multiparity cow was found higher than that of young cow.Synchronism observation results of estrus and embryonic age showed that higher conception rate and calving rate of transplanted embryo were obtained when the morulae and early blastula were transplanted into the receptors in 7th day after estrus, the blastula were transplanted into the receptors in 8th day after estrus, and the expanded blastula were transplanted into the receptors in 9th day after estrus.
