Abstract Anti-pyruvate deshydrogenase antibodies were evaluated in 715 sera from patients with various connective tissue diseases and 170 normal controls by ELISA and immunoblotting, and found to be present in 60/277 patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome (SS) and 12/146 patients with secondary SS.
