Modeling and Simulation of Variable-Speed Constant-Frequency Double-Fed Wind Generator

2009
Variable-Speed Constant-Frequency(VSCF) is a new efficient method for generating electric power. It is adaptable to the development of the renewable energy such as wind power. The paper analyzes the theory of doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG) used in wind power, builds a mathematic model of DFIG,and then analyzes the control model of DFIG according to the operation characteristic of VSCF generator. It uses STAR-90 simulation support platform to develop simulation arithmetic, build simulation model of DFIG and its control system, and validate the model by means of simulation. It is showed by the results of simulation and experiment that the model's output is consistent with the operation characteristic of VSCF DFIG,and the analysis result of this paper has reference value for the simulation research and operation analysis of actual wind turbine.
