The invention relates to a control device for the damping of oscillations of a cable-guided load, in particular of a crane load, with a mountable on a load-receiving means inertial measurement system for detecting oscillations of the load. In addition, the control means comprises a controller to set a target value for controlling a drive unit which is coupled to at least one of suspension of the load, corresponding to a predetermined regulator functional in response to a related at least to a detected swing angle of the load control deviation.
