The preparation method of the nanoscale base material includes grafting polar group to surfaces of inorganic nanoparticles to obtain the crude oil pour point depressant nanoscale base material subjected to surface modification. The application method of the crude oil pour point depressant nanoscale base material includes adding the crude oil pour point depressant nanoscale base material into the crude oil. The crude oil pour point depressant nanoscale base material is added in the crude oil. The crude oil can be subjected to coagulation and gelling reduction by the aid of the crude oil pour point depressant nanoscale base material at low temperature. Gelling strength of a crystallization system of the crude oil added with the crude oil pour point depressant nanoscale base material in low-temperature under low-temperature condition is weak, so that timeliness in keeping the low-temperature crude oil flowing can be prolonged.
