Ablation of various candidate materials for inertial fusion reactor walls-1: Ablated surface thickness with intense pulsed proton beams

Intense proton and nitrogen beams were focused on various sample materials to observe the surface ablation thickness. The thickness change and the surface composition change with the beam dose were measured with various analysis methods.
