Electromyography in anorectal diseases

A report has been made of an electromyographic study of the external sphincter ani muscle, utilizing monoterminal and bipolar technics and standardized technic using eight channels. A group study has been made of 28 subjects, 15 of whom had no evidence of anorectal disease; the remainder had diverse anorectal disorders.
