SESTA: a personal computer FTAM and VT system

1991
A computer-based system is described that implements the FTAM and VT applications of the OSI model on a PC. The system is composed of a specific board that plugs into the PC computer bus, and a software module that controls the interface of the system. The latter module runs on a personal computer. The plug-in hardware board has its own processor and memory, runs the OSI stack of protocols, and is connected to a public packet switching network. >
