Optimization of Gas Sensor Through Formation of Hexagonal ZnO Nanorod

2019
A simple low-temperature hydrothermal process is chosen for synthesizing highly sensitive hexagonal zinc oxide (ZnO) with a higher surface to volume ratio. Chemical treatment is introduced to get hexagonal nanorod which enhances the sensing properties of the gas sensor. The characterization of structural morphology of fabricated ZnO is done by scanning electron microscope (SEM).) The crystallinity in synthesized ZnO nanorod is verified by X ray diffraction (XRD. Sensing performance depending on the shape, size, and temperature are investigated. The as-prepared hexagonal ZnO nanorod may be a good choice for sensing layer in highly sensitive gas sensor.
