Sumner County solid waste energy recovery facility

1984
An energy recovery facility in Tennessee is described which cogenerates steam and electricity from the combustion of municipal solid wastes. The planning phases, design, construction, operation, and economics of the plant are described. The facility uses two water-wall incinerators, each capable of handling 100 tons of solid wastes/day. Steam is sold to three nearby industries and the electricity is sold to TVA.
