Expressway serious lawbreaking action monitoring and early warning system and method

The invention discloses expressway serious lawbreaking action monitoring and early warning system and method. The system comprises a monitoring camera, a traffic event detector, an information distribution controller and a wireless information distribution system. The monitoring camera is connected with the traffic event detector through a video cable; the traffic event detector is connected with the information distribution controller through a 232 data cable; and an LED display screen is communicated with the information distribution controller through a GSM. In the method, the monitoring camera transmits video images of traffic conditions to the traffic event detector; the traffic event detector identifies traffic events form the video images of traffic conditions and sends event codes to the information distribution controller; the information distribution controller automatically generates early warning information and management and control measures and prompts managers to confirm the events; if the events are confirmed, the managers manages and controls lawbreaking vehicles by shouting, and even types and warning information are displayed on the wireless information distribution system. The invention can effectively prevent the occurrence of traffic accidents and reduce the influence of lawbreaking events on traffic operation.
