Plastic rotation of a structural element as a whole

2006
Conditions of plastic rotation of a partially (core) deformable solid as a whole are considered using apparatus of the theory of continuous media. The energy and force analyses are based on the proof of the conformity between the shape of the elliptic core rotated as a whole and the shape of the void formed after extraction of the core from the solid and its uniform elastic shear. The influence of the core shape and the external field parameters on the feasibility of rotation is established, in particular, for friction and nonuniform plastic shear.
