Litobezoar'a Bağlı Kolonik Obstrüksiyon, Olgu Sunum u

Indroduction: We report a 4 year old boy with a giant rectosigmoid lithobezoar. Undigested nutrients or foreign bodies in gastrointestinal tract forming a conglomeration are cal/ed "Bezoars ". Lithobezoar, occurring stones and stone-like substances are uncommon causes of in testinal obstruction during childhood. The patient was admitted at emergency clinic with abdominal pain and constipation. His plain X-ray ofabdomen were revealed multiple radio opaque shadows filling the rectum and sigmoid co/on. Stones were determined with the digital rectal examination. Under sedation, following anal dilatation, stones were completely evacuated manually. Post evacuation plain X-ray did not reveal any residual stones in the co/on. Patient was discharged without any complications. Result: Lithobezoar should be suspected in any patient who has a abdomimal pain and constipation. Early diagnosis and intervention is necessary in suspected cases oflithobezoars to avoid intestinal obstruction that may ensue. It can successful treatment with early diagnosis without surgery.
