Conceptual Approach of an SDR-operated Multi-feed Antenna for Space Surveillance and Tracking

In space surveillance and tracking, most of the radio detection methods employ high-gain directional antennas. However, the field of view of these antennas is narrow and, as such, the detection probability and tracking time of LEO targets is low. This paper presents the concept of an SDR-operated multi-feed antenna which improves the detection probability and supports basic determination of LEO satellite trajectories.
