The risk behaviour of junior school youth as presented in literature

2014
Health-related risk behaviour is a problem of health policy and the whole society. High intensity of risk behaviour may cause young people to suffer serious physical and mental damage. It is only the monitoring of high-risk health behaviour as well as discovering its mechanisms and causes that can help implement preventive measures and control the outcomes of this kind of behaviour. Studies on health most frequently pertain to infants, little children and adults. Teenagers are a less popular subject of research, as they are common-ly perceived as the healthiest group. These convictions led the au-thors to analyse the risk behaviour of youths as described in the liter-ature of the field. Matters such as restrictive crash diets, the abuse of psychoactive substances, taking medications without instruction from a doctor, violence and early sexual initiation are discussed.
