Angular distributions for n-p scattering in the energy range 22.5 to 110 MeV

1963
Abstract Measurements of the differential cross-sections for n-p scattering have been made in the energy range 22.5 to 110 MeV at centre-of-mass angles between 7° and 173°, using a neutron time-of-flight spectrometer in conjunction with the Harwell cyclotron. At angles between 7° and 122° absolute cross-sections were obtained using a calibrated neutron detector and between 78° and 173° relative cross-sections, subsequently normalized to the absolute measurements, were obtained by detecting the recoil protons. Within the limits of the experimental errors, the results are in agreement with previous measurements at 27 MeV, 42 MeV, 90 MeV and 105 MeV and provide new information at other energies.
