The invention discloses a forest-fire monitoring method and system. The forest-fire monitoring method comprises the following steps of: adopting a sensor group to collect environmental parameters, analyzing the environmental parameters by an artificial neural network and obtaining a judgment result about whether a fire disaster exists; if so, carrying out real-time alarming, and if not, ending. The forest-fire monitoring method and system disclosed by the invention have the advantages that the artificial neural network is arranged for analyzing the environmental parameters, the self-learning and self-adaptive capabilities are fully utilized for analyzing and processing various signals, the adaptability to various different types of sensing signals in fire detection can be achieved, nonlinear signal processing conforming to the fire principle is carried out, environmental parameters sent from a forest farm are accurately analyzed, and an analysis result with higher credibility than the prior art, so that an accurate detection result is obtained; since the artificial neural network has the memorizing and studying capabilities, and the specific environments for different forest farms also can be adapted by adjusting different parameters.
