EIGHT STEPS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIRTUAL EDUCATION IN EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION PLAN IN MEDICAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITIE, A REVIEW OF AN EXPERIENCE

Background and Objective: Following the introduction of higher education in the health system and the Innovation Plan in 2015, twelve packages were introduced as the basis for educational development. One of the most important packages was the virtual education. This article demonstrates the experience of universities in 5th Macro region in providing the eight-step model for developing virtual education. Materials and Methods: Qualitative research approach was based on the case study was done with the Brain Storming of virtual education specialist and the analysis of documents, reports and programs related to the development of virtual education in 2015-2017 in the 5th macro region universities. After SWOT analysis with considering the upstream documents, eight strategies was conduct in virtual education development. Results: Finally, the 8 strategies in human resource training, regulation, motivation and rewards, e-Content production, infrastructure provision, konwledge production and sharing, Virtualization development, and novelty were set. After 3 year 36 activities was done or in processing. Conclusion: The higher education system has led to the synergy of resources and facilities at the macro level of the region relatively. But the macro region region communication with the headquarters and the role of universities in the development of virtual education needs to strengthen the support role and support of the headquarters in providing infrastructure and funding, and more autonomy for universities in planning and implementing virtual education development.
